Summer Activities
There are activities for all ages and interests during our summer season. We are more than happy to help you find the right activities for your group.
Yellowstone is the Oldest National Park in the United States and offers beauty and excitement to all visitors. You can spend days in this natural environment and still not experience all the area has to offer. We can set you up with a guided tour or you can take it at your own pace and experience this natural wonder on your own schedule. We have plenty of information and experience to guide you in the right direction.

Fish, Fish and more Fish! There is plenty of fly-fishing in the area. With the Madison River, Gallatin River, Hebgen Lake, Quake Lake, Henry's Lake and Firehole you never have to worry about finding your own private spot. There are many experienced guides in the area. Bookings with local guides are available whether it be drifting or wading. It's your call!

Along with fishing, water sports are abundant. Enjoy yourself whitewater rafting or kayaking down Gallatin Canyon. On the calm waters of the surrounding lakes boating and water skiing are a popular show. Activities such as floating or canoeing offer a more tranquil route. Of course driving anywhere is an adventure in itself with wildlife at every turn.
Keep in mind that there is wildlife and bird watching just about anywhere you go. A unique way to experience the wilderness comes with saddle and all; horseback riding, where adventures range from half a day to full day trips.
West Yellowstone and the surrounding area, both in summer and winter offer a multitude of dining possibilities. We offer fun for the whole family. Visit the Grizzly Discovery Center. Available only during the summer months, the Museum of the Yellowstone and the famous Playmill Theatre offer fun filled times for kids as well as adults.
Whether on water or land there is always enjoyment to be captured.
Winter Activities:

Aspen House is an exciting place in the winter since it is situated on the border of the Forest Service there are so many activities offered right out your back door. Snowshoeing is a wonderful experience which gives you the chance to view the forest in its pristine covered whiteness. Dog sledding is available locally with experienced musher’s that go all over the Gallatin National Forest.
For those who prefer skiing West Yellowstone offers one of the top rated Cross Country Ski Trails in the world, the Rendezvous Ski Trails. These trails offer over 35 Kilometers of winding groomed trails that meander through the Gallatin National Forest.
North of the Aspen House, 50 miles away, is Big Sky, Montana, which offers Rocky Mountain Downhill Skiing. These trails are vast and yet remain relatively undiscovered, but not for long, notoriety is taking over.
Now for the more adventurous, there is snowmobiling, with over 500 miles outside of Yellowstone National Park. This sport is an area favorite and with our amazing snow levels there is fresh powder for everyone!
Yellowstone National Park is available for touring in the winter from mid-December to the first part of March. It is accessible by guided trips only; Snowmobile trips are provided locally in groups of 10 with a guide or, if you prefer, you can tour Yellowstone National Park by Snowcoach and let someone else do the driving and guide while you stay toasty warm inside a vehicle.
